Dame Joanna Lumley OBE
Joanna Lumley...Absolutely Fabulous! (more
photos below)
The Friends of Kadzinuni are pleased to announce that Joanna Lumley OBE
(now DAME Joanna Lumley OBE!) has
agreed to become Honorary Patron of our charity. Joanna was the first celebrity
to directly support our small operation when she donated her drawing of a
giraffe. Joanna has many associations with work in Africa being a director of
the Born Free Foundation, actively supporting conservation. In recognition of
her inspirational support we have adopted the giraffe as our logo.
On 3rd August 2005 - Joanna wrote to send her congratulations on all that the Friends are achieving.
"The Friends of Kadzinuni are proving themselves to be the best friends one could hope for - energetic, generous, understanding, optimistic, far-sighted, good-humoured and full of love. I'm proud to be one of them and to support their ambitions and achievements."
Friends trustees Nic, Elaine and Daisy Seller, with Carly along as official photographer had the privilege of meeting up with Friends Hon. Patron Joanna Lumley on 2nd April.
Left to right above are Elaine and Nic Seller,
and of course Joanna Lumley.

Joanna's Giraffe - she modestly described it as her "scritchy giraffe" - far
from it, just as elegant as the artist!
