The Library
The Library
Aside from the educational books provided for the classrooms, the Library will provide reading
materials for the wider community, to enable them to develop their reading skills.
Developing good reading skills doesn't just mean that you can read a novel or a magazine or
newspaper; it also means being able to read (and understand) a loan contract or an insurance policy.
What about the directions for assembling the furniture you just bought, or the installation
instructions for a new computer. And later on, the application forms to apply for a job.
Possessing good reading skills also means you can read and understand product labels.
Like the directions for taking your medication or the warnings on a bottle of bleach.
In addition, developing good reading skills means that you can think for yourself.
You can read about the advantages and disadvantages of anything from growing crops
to making clothes. And then you have the ability to decide what's best for yourself and your family.
